TOXICOLOGY LABORATORY

Description

The toxicology laboratory carries out toxicology determinations, according to the legislation in force, in order to evaluate the working conditions and the health status of the employed personnel by specialists in the field (occupational medicine, territorial labor inspectorate).

The toxicology laboratory within INSEMEX INSEMEX – Petroşani carries out its activity on the basis of Qualification Certificate no. 149/2012 issued by the Ministry of Health through the Directorate of Public Health and Control in Public Health for the determination of professional noxes at workplaces.

Within the Toxicology laboratory, staff co-opted from the INSEMEX-Petrosani INCD research laboratories work as follows: Environmental Protection Laboratory, Rescue Risks Laboratory, Physico-Chemical Analysis Laboratory.

The toxicology laboratory provides the following specialized services: The atmosphere of industrial workplaces

  1. Determination of respirable and/or total suspended dust – RENAR Accreditation, Ministry of Health Authorization
  2. Determination of gases at workplaces (sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and methane) – Authorization by the Ministry of Health
  3. Determination of air condition parameters (temperature, humidity, speed), Ministry of Health Authorization
  4. Determination of WBGT index
  5. Determination of noise parameters, in order to assess professional exposure – RENAR Accreditation, Ministry of Health Authorization
  6. Determination of vibration parameters, in order to assess professional exposure – RENAR Accreditation, Ministry of Health Authorization
  7. Determination of volatile organic compounds (VOC) – RENAR accreditation, Ministry of Health authorization
  8. Determining the level of Illumination – Ministry of Health qualification
  9. Determination of electromagnetic radiation (electromagnetic field)
  10. Determination of saturated and unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons (acetylene, propane, propene, butane, ethene, ethane, methane), hydrogen, carbon monoxide – RENAR Accreditation
  11. Determination of PMV and PPD indices
